Items required for application:
- Letter of Intent
- 1 page
- Describe why you are a strong candidate for this program, including your motivation to serve in government and your plans for fulfilling this commitment.
- Address letter to CyberCorps SFS Admissions Committee
- Resume
- Copy of unofficial transcript (from BYU or most recent university attended)
- Diploma or Graduation Plan
- Diploma (if applying for MS) from your most relevant undergraduate or graduate degree
- Graduation Plan (if applying to start your Junior or Senior year) that demonstrates a clear path to graduation by an appropriate date.
- BYU students should work with Alisha Wall to create a graduation plan before submitting SFS application
- Non-BYU students need to provide a path to graduation within the allotted timeframe.
- One Character Letter of Recommendation from a family member or close associate, addressing the following points:
- Describe the candidate’s dedication to serving in the federal government.
- Provide an example that demonstrates the candidate’s integrity, especially as it relates to fulfilling commitments.
- Are there any potential challenges you foresee in the candidate’s ability to work in a government role?
- Names and contact information of two professional references (faculty or employers).
- You will send them a link (provided in the application) and they will fill out a survey regarding your qualifications.
- You will receive an email notification when each reference is received.
