Cybersecurity (BS) with Computer Science minor, April 2027
IT & Cybersecurity (MS), December 2028
I stumbled into BYU's Cybersecurity program four years ago after a year of figuring out what I wanted to do with my life. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time studying in the program and am so grateful I made that decision.
My primary interests are in embedded systems and network security. My current research focuses on securing 5G mobile networks, and I plan to continue studying this field as a master's student in fall 2027.
I enjoy self-hosting software in my home lab and dreaming up more and more elaborate systems to include on my network. I know, deep down, that my wife adores my computing hobbies.
When I'm not immersed in research or other academic pursuits, I enjoy working out, spending time outdoors, and being with my wife and daughter.
