Ryan Rushton was raised in Los Alamos, New Mexico as the second of six children. At eighteen, he graduated with an Associate’s degree from Brigham Young University – Idaho before serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Brazil Santos mission. Upon his return, he transferred to BYU Provo to continue his education.
In addition to his scholarly endeavors, he’s worked as a TA for the IT&C 101 and 210 classes, helping other students progress in their educational journey. In the summer of 2025, he worked as an Associate Security Engineer at Focused Support LLC where he developed the company’s Incident Response Plan, ran vulnerability scans, and built an air-gapped network for the transmittal of secure data, amongst other things.
